Data we collect
From enquiries and clients we may collect name, email, phone number, preferred meeting dates, details of your financial situation that you choose to share, and documents you upload or post to us. From the website we may collect technical logs such as IP address and pages visited when analytics cookies are accepted—see our cookie policy.
Purposes and lawful bases
- Responding to enquiries and delivering contracted advice (contract / legitimate interests).
- Meeting regulatory record-keeping duties that apply to financial advice firms (legal obligation).
- Improving the website with aggregated analytics only when you accept optional cookies (consent).
Retention
Enquiry messages without an engagement are kept for up to 24 months. Client files and advice records are retained for at least six years after the engagement ends, or longer where regulation or dispute resolution requires. Analytics data, when collected, is retained in aggregate form for up to 26 months.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, or portability of your personal data, and you may object to certain processing. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. You may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
International transfers
We store client files and email primarily in the United Kingdom. If a supplier processes data outside the UK, we use appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy regulations.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We may share information with professional introducers you ask us to contact, with insurers or IT providers under contract, or when required by law.
