Refunds and cancellations
These rules apply to fixed-fee and quoted consulting engagements with Elm & Reed Financial Advice. They do not cover product premiums charged by insurers or investment providers.
Refund eligibility
You may request a refund of unused fees when we have not started analysis or when we cancel an engagement we cannot fulfil. Once written findings or a draft plan have been delivered, fees for completed stages are generally non-refundable.
Timeframe to request
Refund requests should be sent within 14 days of the event giving rise to the request (for example, our cancellation or your cancellation before work starts). Contact hello@webcomai.digital or +44-9-100-1807.
Deposits
A booking deposit (typically 30% of the agreed fee) holds your first meeting date. If you cancel with at least five working days’ notice before that meeting and we have not begun document review, the deposit is refundable in full. Later cancellations may forfeit the deposit to cover preparation time already booked.
Full and partial refunds
- Full refund: we cancel; or you cancel before analysis starts with the notice above; or we mutually agree the engagement cannot proceed.
- Partial refund: you cancel after discovery but before the draft plan is issued—fees for completed meeting time are retained; unused balance may be returned.
Non-refundable items
- Fees for meetings already held and for written plans or findings already delivered
- Clarification calls included in a package once used
- Third-party costs you asked us to incur with your written approval (for example, certified copies)
Work already started
Reading your document pack and preparing models counts as started work. If you withdraw at that stage, we invoice for time spent at the agreed engagement rate, capped at the quoted fee, and refund any surplus deposit.
Rescheduling and no-shows
You may reschedule once at no charge with at least three working days’ notice. Shorter notice or a no-show may require a new deposit before another date is held. We will offer a new date within a reasonable period if we must reschedule on our side.
Refund process and method
Approved refunds are returned by the original payment method within 10 working days of approval. We confirm the amount in writing before processing.
Purchased materials
We do not sell physical product kits. If printed copies of your plan are requested after delivery, reprint fees are non-refundable once printed.
Exceptions
Statutory cooling-off rights for distance contracts may apply to consumers in addition to this policy. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be excluded under UK law.
